Today a Tasty Soup?

Vegetable Soup with Peas

A daily serving for a 15kg dog (33 lb) (Last updated April 2018)

Ingredients

540g cooked Green Split Peas
90g Potatoes
80g Carrots
40g Celery Root
7.5g Sesame Oil
500ml Water (2 cups)
4g Vegetable Broth Powder
1 Bay Leaf
6g V-Complete

Preparation

Peel the vegetables and cut into small pieces.

Heat the oil in a pot (not above the smoke point) and fry the carrot and celery for about 3 minutes.

Add the water, the potatoes and the bay leaf and season with vegetable broth powder. Let simmer for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are firm to the bite. Remove the bay leaf, then add the cooked peas (for me it is puree, as the split peas fall apart during cooking).
Stir and let it cool down. To serve, mix V-Complete with the cooled soup and serve your dog.

Also tasty with Leni Lecker HundeVurst

To get this soup extra tasty I recommend to use Leni Lecker HundeVurst.
Take 50g of the Vurst, cut it into small pieces and fry with the vegetables. As the Vurst contains a lot of protein, reduce the amount of peas to 450g.

How many dried peas do I need for this recipe?

If you want to cook the peas for this recipe yourself you need 180g dried split peas. For the version with Leni Lecker HundeVurst reduce to 150g.
