Works together too, says my dog. Red lentils with polenta and beetroot

1 daily serving for a 15kg dog (33 lb)

Extra treat with Leni Lecker HundeVurst

This recipe can be spiced up well with Leni Lecker HundeVurst.
Take 50g of Vurst, cut into bite-sized cubes and fry them together with the beetroot.
Because the Vurst contains plenty of protein, reduce the lentils to 430g.

Ingredients

  • 475g Cooked Red lentils with some Savory
  • 330g Cooked Polenta
  • 120g Beetroot
  • 1 Rice cake
  • 7.5g Canola Oil
  • 2g Salt
  • 1 pinch of Pepper
  • 6g V-Complete

Preparation

Cut the beetroot into fine cubes and fry in the oil. Add the polenta in pieces and go on frying. At last also the lentils go into the pan. Season with salt and pepper.

Mix everything, add the broken rice cake to the mixture. Let cool down to room temperature.

Finally mix in V-Complete and serve your dog.

What's the Rice Cake for?

The rice cake hardly has any flavour of its own, but it absorbs flavour and binds liquid even better. When the rice waffle absorbs the liquid, in this case from the lentils, it also gets a great consistency, slightly muddy, but still in a piece. Give it a try and let me know how you like it.
