Yay, it's our birthday and we're turning 10 🥳

Wow, 10 years of Vegan4Dogs already! We can hardly believe it ourselves. We are immensely proud and also incredibly grateful that so many people and dogs are standing up with us for a world in which every life is precious. The first purely plant-based dog food company in Germany celebrates its anniversary.

Exactly ten years ago, we opened our online doors as a pioneer of vegan dog nutrition in Germany. Today we are celebrating a decade of passion, dedication and the goal of making the world a little better - for dogs and all other animals. From the very beginning, we believed in plant-based dog nutrition that is good for our four-legged friends and at the same time stands up for the rights of all animals. The fact that so many dog lovers are following this path with us makes us proud and grateful!

A project straight from our hearts: Turning an idea into a movement

Vegan4Dogs is more than just a vegan dog food company. We are a community of people who take responsibility together - for our dogs, the environment and all animals. Our range includes V-Complete, nutritional supplements for home-cooked vegan dog food, our complete foods Greta kibble and Pauline moist food as well as our snacks Olaf and Lorelai. Our V4D product family are made from plant-based ingredients that are specially tailored to the needs of dogs. We focus on transparency and develop high-quality recipes that are not only balanced and healthy, but also respectful of the lives of all animals. ‘What was unimaginable for many at the time is now a reality: dogs can be fed a healthy and wholesome plant-based diet - for the benefit of animals and our environment,’ says Leni Lecker, founder and Managing Director of Vegan4Dogs. Our anniversary is not only a milestone for our company, but also a success for the growing movement around sustainable, animal-friendly nutrition.

For us, every bag of food is a little statement in favour of more compassion. The fact that human companions are opting for vegan dog food shows that more and more people are thinking about the origin of animal food - and that is an important sign.

Our Vegan4Dogs Corporate Culture

Our decisions are not only based on economic interests, but also on humanitarian and anti-speciesist interests, which we guarantee through our financial independence. It is important to us that people can contribute with all their facets. This means that we try to take into account the personal development and phases of the team members and to accept and integrate them as part of the company's development.

Leni Lecker: Commitment to Animal Rights and Plant-Based Nutrition

Our commitment goes beyond our daily work in the company. Leni is not only the founder of Vegan4Dogs, but also a passionate animal rights activist, e.g. with Animal Rebellion.  She actively promotes the distribution of information about vegan dog nutrition and animal rights through lectures and educational events. In September 2023, for example, she spoke at the Animal Rights Congress in Leipzig, and in recent summers she has inspired visitors to the vegan summer festival in Berlin with her message of animal-friendly dog nutrition. ‘It's important to me that people learn about the ethical and health benefits of a vegan diet for their dogs,’ says Leni. ‘This work is really close to my heart and it fulfils me to work with our community to create a world where animals don't have to suffer for food.’

Outlook: Sustainable into the future

What can we expect in the next ten years? Vegan4Dogs remains true to its mission and plans to expand its product range with new, creative ideas - naturally sustainable and animal-friendly. With every meal we offer, we want to create a little bit of change so that future generations can grow up in a fair and enjoyable world.

‘None of this would be possible without our loyal community and our team,’ emphasises Matthias, co-founder of Vegan4Dogs. ‘We look forward to shaping the future together with you and continuing to work towards making vegan dog nutrition a completely natural choice.’
