Vegan Snack for Dogs

Tasty as a Treat


  • 200g Tofu
  • 400g Water
  • 80g Oil (I use sunflower)
  • Spices according to preference (varying each time). I use e.g.:
  • 1 tsp Marjoram
  • ½ tsp Savory
  • ½ tsp Caraway seeds
  • ½ tsp Coriander seeds
  • approx. 10 drops smoke flavor
  • 1 tsp Soy sauce
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 300g Gluten/Seitan Powder


Mix all ingredients except for the gluten powder well with a (stick) blender. Then add the gluten powder, stir in and knead briefly to form a dough. Transfer to a gratin dish with lid and smooth the surface. Put the lid on and give the dish into a pan with a steamer basket and some water. Steam for an hour, let cool and pour off excess water. Voilà. Cut into cubes, the Vurst is great to take outside as a treat, mix into food or in slices on toasted bread😋.

Leni Lecker HundeVurst will keep in the fridge for about a week (if it hasn't miraculously disappeared before then 😉 ).
