Mystery Polenta
Cooking polenta – It’s not so hard after all
Ingredients
- 300g Polenta (1 ¾ cups) (dry weight)
- 800 ml Water (3 ¼ cups)
- Some Salt
- some savory and/or other herbs
- some oil
Preparation
Bring the water with the herbs to a boil. Add some salt as needed.
Stir in the polenta and let it well up for about 10 minutes, stirring regularly. Stir regularly.
In the meantime oil a baking pan.
Fill in the ready polenta, wet your hand with cold water and smooth the surface. Let it cool down and keep in the fridge. Cut in pieces use it with the other food components.
I prepare the polenta for some days in advance and keep them in the fridge.
