With Kidney Beans, Tofu, Rice und Beet Root
1 daily serving for a 15kg dog (33 lb)
Are you looking for a recipe for a bit of variety for your four-legged friend? Then this homemade Buddha Bowl might be just the easy-to-prepare, nutritious, vegan dog food you're looking for.
The recipe provides a balanced plant-based meal for your dog and beetroot not only adds a splash of colour to the bowl, but also a load of essential vitamins and minerals, such as folate, which plays an important role in cell division.
Beetroot also contains a high proportion of vitamin C and minerals such as magnesium, iron and potassium.
Spinach scores highly for iron too, although the iron content in this leafy vegetable is not as high as the myth that once prevailed due to a comma error in a scientific publication from the 19th century. This error increased the iron content of spinach tenfold.

Tip
You can also add the linseed oil directly to the ball mixture instead of drizzling it over the top.
Linseed oil contains omega-3 fatty acids, which can be beneficial for dogs. It is important that it is used fresh to retain its beneficial properties. Ideally, you should keep it in the fridge after opening.
