About Us
You ever heard of that? Sometimes there are moments that change everything. In our case it was the moment we met Eddie. Black Labrador Shepherd mix from the Berlin shelter, with drooping ears and sad eyes. Our motivation to develop healthy plant-based dog food.

Why can dogs be fed a vegan diet?
A vegan diet for dogs is not only possible, but can also be healthy and nutritious if put together correctly. Dogs are naturally omnivores and have a digestive tract that can utilise both plant and animal nutrients. Unlike cats, which are pure carnivores, dogs can adapt their diet flexibly.
Several scientific studies have shown that dogs can obtain all the nutrients they need from a well-balanced plant-based diet. For example, a study published in 2022 (Vegan versus meat-based dog food: Guardian-reported health outcomes in 2,536 dogs, after controlling for canine demographic factors, Knight, Andrew et al., Heliyon, Volume 10, Issue 17, e35578) showed that a vegan diet is safe and healthy for adult dogs when essential nutrients such as amino acids, vitamins (especially B12) and fatty acids are supplemented. Further research also confirms that dogs can be switched to a balanced vegan diet without any health risks.
A plant-based diet not only offers health benefits such as reduced exposure to animal proteins, but is also particularly suitable for dogs with allergies or intolerances to certain animal ingredients.
